Champion Hospitality Group Introduces Passiflora
Champion Hospitality Group (CHG) the hospitality arm of Champion Brewing Company announced that Passiflora, its newest venture, will open Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Passiflora, the Latin name for passion flower, features a Baja-Mediterranean-inspired menu of small plates, and an upstairs tropical, rum-focused lounge. Phil Gerringer is the head chef. Lizzy Hood, formerly of Eleven Madison Park in New York City and recently of Potter’s Craft Cider is the general manager. Drew Kuechler, formerly of The Fitzroy, is running the bar program.
Passiflora is located at 422 E. Main Street on Charlottesville’s downtown mall. The restaurant will open for dinner with limited indoor and outdoor seating, following CDC guidelines for safe social distancing.
