Breakfast from Champion
Thursday through Sunday, 7a.m. until 11a.m. (for you late sleeper, brunch eaters), you can now get excellent coffee beverages and an exciting array of breakfast options curbside, at the Champion Taproom.
Order up online, then pick up safely and conveniently outside. Don’t forget to add a six-pack of Champion Beer to your order!
Hot items are Monique’s amazing biscuits and gravy (Hoo, boy!), breakfast wraps (vegan and vegetarian options available), steel cut oats in a variety of tummy-warming flavors. Lighter fare includes a sampling of muffins and a yogurt parfait. Monique Boatwright is Champion’s Taproom chef, HR manager, and baker extraordinaire.
We’ve got all the fancy joe, too, with a special coffee roast created by Champion’s operations manager Jonny Nuckols (of Shark Mountain fame). Jonny also roasts the coffee for our Megalodon Imperial Porter. We will on occasion feature coffee from our friends at J Bird Supply.
This author’s weekend routine includes breakfast from Champion followed by a hike on the Rivanna Trail. It makes for a great pandemic-friendly date and is the highlight of our Sunday morning.
